I signed up for the free $50 gas certificate these guys had awhile back (when it was listed on the deals page) and after being a member for nearly a month (and many phone calls) I finally received a certificate that I was supposed to mail in for another certificate which was supposed to be good for $50 of gas.
I am still waitting for the actual gas certificate. I asked if I had to be currently enrolled in AHA when I redeemed the gas certificate and they said no.
Anyone else still waitting for theirs or what's everyone's experience?

if they mailed you your membership package (the one you were charged $1 for) it was supposed to be in it (mine wasn't). I had to continually call them asking about it.

INeedAVacation, what is the story on the gas card? Is it a card or a certificate? How do you 'redeem' it?

good questions...
ummm..well, I first received a certificate which said I had to mail that certificate in and then I would receive another certificate which was good for "up to $50 in free gas". So, I'm not too sure exactly what I am going to get in the mail next....maybe a certificate which I will have to mail in again or maybe a pre-paid gas card (doubt that) or maybe nothing?

yeah, sorry, I meant to find this thread earlier and post what's new. Here's what's new...
Like I said earlier, I finally received a certificate which I was supposed to mail. I mailed it in (along with my s.a.s.e.) and just received my s.a.s.e. in the mail. Inside was another certificate which I am supposed to mail to them (with another s.a.s.e.) and then they say they will mail me 4 certificates worth $12.50 of gas each. I can only redeem one certifiate per every 3 months. With these certificates they are now supposed to be mailing me, I will need to mail them in (individually) with a gas sales receipt and they are then supposed to mail me what will pretty much be a rebate check.
Basically, to get this f'd up deal, one must pay $1 for AHA to ship you their membership materials, mail off a certificate with a s.a.s.e., mail off another certificate with a s.a.s.e., then mail 4 more certificates in separate envelopes (each with a s.a.s.e.?).
A real waste of time and effort but since I have gone this far I am going to see this "B" through!!!

Update:
I have received my first gas rebate for $12.50 but have not received the second one I sent in months ago. Just this week I sent in for what should be my third gas rebate. How about anyone else?

INAV, it seems like you're always getting shafted from shady deals. :P
Cyberrebate, urbanq, now this.

I tried this also. You sign up and they send you a certificate to fill out to get the gas certificates, which I did, but I never received anything after that. Seems like to much trouble and most people I've heard have never really gotten anything anyway.

yeah, I have certainly run into a few badd deals but I think I have a pretty good ratio going, good deals/bad deals. I think its important to differentiate between the two and publicise both!
