Although I took advantage of most of the better deals, the prices on a lot of computer stuff has gotten so low that they don't need additional incentives. Examples:
256 MB memory at Dell (recent deal) $20.00
12X CDRW $77.00
15 GB hard drive $49.95( recent deal)
1.2 GHZ AMD CPU Approx. $95.00
100 PNY CDR $10.00 After rebate

There was this island off the coast of New York.
Got it for $24 worth of beads, shiny stones and other trinkets.
Called it Manhattan.
Then one day, The Muppets Take Manhattan.
Oh well, can't last forever.

My best deal would definitely have to be getting into Epinions.com very early. Thanks to word of mouth, I signed up very early when they were paying $.30 per view!
To date, they've paid me: $2225.69
And I understand that's just a pittance compared to some of the other charter members.
The Free Nomad II from eMusic.com wasn't bad either... even though the player sucks.

The Cybiko deal was pretty sweet. Although many of us (myself included) struggled to find a use for the thing, everyone who got into this one eaither got a free $100 system or was able to return it for even great benefits. And as far as I know, Cybiko sent them all out, no one got screwed.

Just this week I got the Cambridge 2.1 speaker set for $20 and the Creative SB mx3 for $30. Great deals IMO.
But beyond that the HP930 for free and the $2400 GC from Amazon & c2it.

By far the best deal, hands down was the MSN rebate where many of use were able to get $400 of free stuff at Best Buy. Granted it wasn't the most ethical thing in the world but it still kicked arse if you didn't mind stickin it to MSN (It was an added bonus for me).

Can anyone say Mercata and the free $100???
How about the MS Passport deal last year -- 20% rebates. Saved $500 on a Dell computer and hundreds from an NYC electronics dealer for digital cameras and mini dv camcorder. Turned around and made more selling the extras on ebay.

i was quite fond of jaboom and the other rate music sites. I got a lot of gcs from them. Then i hit up freeride a bunch until it sucked. I've lost count of all the surveys I've done for gcs. I'm especially happy about the collegehire 100 dollar amazon gc.
