I just bought a brand new home and moved on Saturday using a Uhaul
well just 15 miles after leaving my old place the clutch went out.
(Glad it went out where it did because in order to get to the new hous
you have to climb a massive hill) So I call the emergeny uhaul road assistance.
They send out a mechanic and he adjusts the clutch and does this and that and tells us
that there was no way to drive it.. So he calls a tow truck and they pick us up, tow the Uhaul to my
destination
and that's that :) Well I call the dealer and let him know that his 5oclock customer can not have this
vehicle because it is in no driving conditon.. I tell him that all this crap I have been through to give
me back my
250.00 dollars.. He tells me "Take it up with Uhaul".. It's not my fault.. So I call Uhaul and tell them
this and they tell me
that it is not there fault either and that the dealer needs to give my money back.
So as for towing,, the truck is still in front of my house even after calling Uhaul and asking for them
to move the truck.. The towing
company tells me "We can't pick this vehicle up because I need permission from my manager".
What should I do? HELP!! Thanks for letting me vent:)

I rammed a UHaul into the roof of one of those drive-thrus (it didn't mention clearance height until AFTER you had gone through the S-curve and it was impossible to go back).

They never noticed the smashed roof and gave me back my full deposit.

Solution to your UHaul issue - Call up the manager. Tell him you will have it towed to the Police impound in 10 minutes if he doesn't authorize the tow. If he doesn't, call the cops and they will tow it to the impound.

I knocked off one of the top turn signal lights. Glued it back on, didn't realize till I was leaving that I glued it on backwards. They never noticed - and the truck was a piece of crap to begin with anyway.

Yeah,

I had my one and only bad experience with them. I swear they don't maintain their trucks. When I made a 1200 mile move I had a tire blow out out in the middle of nowhere west texas - That thing was bare, no tread at all on that thing. Then the truck lost its interior and dash lights in the middle of the night. Will never rent from them again.

My next move I got a Ryder and no problems at all!

Yep, we've rented from Ryder several times and NEVER had a problem, thank goodness. :)
