HP Deskjet 952 on Deals Page

According to the rebate form the $50 only applies if you've purchased a PC&Monitor, Laptop, or a Mac. The rebate requires you to supply the serial # for the computer you've purchased.

Is there a way around this? Or is this a bum deal?
