Hi,
any help would be apprecaited here.
I'm trying to find a good card that's cheaper than the ATI AIW that has tv tuner and DVI. Also, how much difference does DVI make?
Thanks for any help.

Do you have a DVI Capable Monitor? If not it won't do you no good at all and even if you did the improvement is so little that you couldn't tell it anyways. If you are looking for a vid card with DVI with a tv tuner that isn't a AIW then you might look for a vid card with a DVI output and opt for a tv card like a ATI TV Wonder or a Hauppauge as an add-on

I have an LCD monitor with DVI. I also have a mac, so I was going to use the analog input with the mac and the DVI from my PC. Does the Hauppauge have video out? or does it just send it the monitor?

the ATI AIW Radeon runs about $180 shipped. A good video card with DVI output will run around $100 to $300+ without the tv tuner option. You can get a Geforce2 MX for about $100 give or take a few bucks then get a tv tuner from anywhere from $40 to $120+. Some of Hauppauge cards come with S-Video out to them I do believe but I can't tell you for sure. The AIW seems to be the better alternative actually, because of the versitility and capabilities, if I had it to do all over again I would buy a AIW Radeon instead of a Radeon 64 VIVO. There are others besides ATI and Hauppauge that makes tv tuner cards like Pinnacle Systems, 3Dfx, Avermedia, and etc. Oh and don't forget Matrox, they make cards with DVI output and build in tv tuner cards or tuner card add-ons if I am not mistaken.

I bought a pair of P3 800's about a year or so ago and paid a bit over $300 a piece for them, well now they are what $120 now. Oh and I broke one of those P3's during installation, now that was heart breaking, broke a duron a few days ago and it just doesn't feel the same.
