Acessmicro has an EPOX 8KTA2 motherboard on sale for $79.00 I have searched a few reviews for this motherboard and can not locate the maximum size CPU it supports. Anyone know if it can support an AMD 1.2, and if it can, whether it can be overclocked? Some sites say that the AMD 1.1 is the largest CPU that it will support.
The spec sheet on this baby states that it will take up to a 1.2GHz t-bird @ 200 bus.....now seeing that it will take up to a 1.2GHz is making me think that is has high as the multiplier will go but you might be able to overclock the bus and still do some justice. for about $30 to $40 more you can get a FIC AD11 or a Epox 8K7A+ with the Hybrid AMD 761 chip and the Via 686B chip that are great boards. Remember, you usually get what you pay for in the long run.
