On a whim a few months ago, through Coco~Cola, I wrote a 50-100 word essay on why my dad inspires me.

Well he got an Airborne Express Package yesterday that he has been selected to carry the torch through our area. It's an honor, no doubt, but he is one of 11,000 such torch-bearers.


I'm elelated and he's proud to have the honor. Pretty cool I thought. Go U.S.A!

hey, that's pretty cool. If I was him though, I'd refuse cuz holding that flaming stick and running around takes a lot of calories. Anyways, I'm just lazy...

Don't forget to tell him to smile.

He has to run .2 of a mile. Wow. They even have a support runner with them all the way. It's very orchastrated and regimented. My dad cannot deviate, but my brother claims that he's streaking the entire distance with them.


Another cool thing is they get to keep thier torch. I'm gonna nab it off him and sell it on ebay. lol
