Circut city has the Nokia 8260 for $99.99 w/ service plan.
1. Price Guarantee the phone down to $99.99
BestBuy has a Promotion where you get a $75 BestBuy Gift Card with the

The Nokia 8260 wont work for Cingular service here in California because the 8260 is a TDMA phone and Cingular here is a GSM network. The only Nokia models that will work for GSM networks are phones that ends with "90" like 8290, 5190, 6190, etc.
:(
Unfortunatly Best Buy doesnt offer Cingular service here since Cingular shops are all over town. If it werent for that I probably would have gone for this one.

I highly recommend getting your celluar service at Best Buy and purchasing the 3 yr. Extended Service Plan. On Cell Phones they cover everything from dropping the phone to EVEN THE BATTERY!
Cost is $59.99 additional, but it's worth it. A cell phone battery costs more than that now days.
Just remeber to put all your paperwork in an envelope and keep it where you can find it for 3 years, :)
Hope this helps!

I signed up for Cingular service. It took them three tries just to get my phone number right - I wanted a local number. Next they told me that wireless web was part of my package price only to find out the rep lied to make his commission. He also told me that the nights and weekends minutes started at 7:00 PM. I found out later that they actually start at 10:00 PM. I called the 800# for Cingular to complain and they told me that it was going to cost $150 to get out of my contract although there was clearly misrepresentation. I went back to the store where I purchased the phone and they gave me a refund without a penalty. Glad to get out of that mess. I highly recommend going with a different wireless provider.

Never trust the morons who work in those cell phone places.
I think sprint PCS starts at 7pm for Nights/Weekends.
As always, it is your responsibilty to know your plan, I'd advise always reading the plan fine print/details before accepting what some 18 year old kid tells you.
As for the service problems, I hear nothing but good things from people with cingular plans. They also offer the most competative prices currently.

My roommate is using cingular right now, and its signal is ALWAYS better than mine. I am using Sprint FYI.
You sure Bestbuy will honor the pricematch since they already offering 75 gift cert with the phone??? I will try it out prolly this weekend...

The phone also play a factor in how good of a reception you get. I had Sprint with the Samsung 6100 phone it sucked and now I have the Motorola Timeport and its 10 times better.

Cingular exists in more than one town, city, state, okay? And undoubtedly Cingular (or any other cell provider service) will work better in some areas than others. At home, I get 1-2 bars of signal and a few blocks away I'll get 4 bars. Every service provider out there has their mifts... try going to a rave or any densely populated area where EVERYONE has a cellphone and even with full signal strength, you can't get through (System Busy), regardless which provider you have... The only provider I haven't heard too much complaint with is Nextel... but it is more costly.

Went to Bestbuy today, make them call Circuitcity and PM went fine... Well. Then after filling out all the forms and stuff, the guy call Cingular. This is where it starts to suck. The guy says I dun have credit history (WTF?! I have 3 credit cards already even I started a year ago), so if I want I will have to deposit $800!!! WTFFFF... You kidding me??? That's 2yrs worth of their plans... I decide I will use my roommate's, but that lady didn't let me... I guess I will have to go back tomorrow to make it works...
$800... Jez... If I have $800 I wouldn't be bothered about this deal.
