I read somewhere that you can use these things as an alternative to credit cards...so that means you have in a sense unlimited credit cards?
dunno, just read about it. It seems that you use your own credit card to buy web certificates of any amount. Basically gift certificates at any store and are backed up by mastercard, so it's like a temp credit card. People use it as graduation gifts or birthday gifts.
It's a nice way to buy from an insecure site so they can't try to take more money than they should.
Someone correct me if i'm wrong

Does a webcertificate have an expiration date like a regular credit card? Could you use one to sign up for a membership to an adult site. That seems like a lot better option than actually giving your real credit card to some shady sex site!
i think so.....cause sites that accept credit cards require expiration dates.....that's a good idea.....

I would use it for "trial" memberships which usually run about $2-$5 for a couple of days to a week.

i used a webcert with very little money left on it (NO FLAMES NOW!!) for an adult website for the preview, they gave me the password and I had access for a few days till they probably tried to charge it and got declined and cancelled my password! A webcertifictae IS EXCELLENT for signing up for any "free trial" deals or memberships where they charge you after 90 days

I'm using that service right now. The 16 digit CC is accepted anywhere. Nice one. What they earn is you are charged $1 for service fee.
You can add money to your account as you want to.
It also have an expired date but it is extendable.

if you sign up for freeservers.com and get your own sub-domain, you can get as many free $5 webcertificates you want...
great for deals in which you only have to pay shipping. Also, sign up for payplace.com for all those webcertificates and get $10 for each one...
