View Full Version : Don't Laugh, I Want a Razor Scooter
05-10-2000, 12:27 AM
Sorry to ask but could someone help me out? I want to buy a Razor scooter as cheap as possible. The lowest I've seen is $99.99 at some local stores and various sites on the net. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot!

Man, I've tried posting things in a couple various newsgroups/forums but no one ever replies. Nobody likes me. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/frown.gif Thanks to those who did read my post.

I'ld help you but umm, well i have no clue what a Razor Scooter is
05-12-2000, 03:43 AM
razor scooters are those tiny little gay-looking, fluoresecent-color-wheeled, foldable scooters that annoy the **** out of me. Every so often I get the urge to just toss something in front of one of those front wheels to see how much pain it will cause the rider. Hmm...i think i'll try that tomorrow.
ps - no offense to you, motkrap, but i hate those things

is it the one thats like a skimpy motorcycle that you sit on like a chair? or the skateboard with a motor and handle?
05-12-2000, 04:07 AM
no motor, no chair. after folding, the thing is like 20 inches long, 3 inches wide, and about 7 inches deep (folded for carrying purposes. It's very small, even when unfolded.

why do u want one?? i mean for that money u can easily get a good skateboard or rollerblades and truly not look gay.... i see so many people getting these on bruin walk but so far they all still look gay.... get a skateboard cause girls dig skateboarders... http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif

blades aren't "in" anymore and aren't as easy to transport, but i still prefer them. Of course, I wish that I could use my snowboard to go down bruin walk (race down the section by drake stadium on the way to class, and jump down all of the sets of stairs on the way back to the dorms. we could even use the elevator at the LATC to take us back up to the top of bruin walk; that would rule...) but alas, LA gets NO snow! Sucks that my boarding season is coming to a close.

http://www.davidsteele.com/razor.html sells in bulk to dealers for as low as $45. If you can find enough people who want to "razor scoot" with you, then this place may help (not likely though) They do link single sales to a place that offers free shipping at $99.99 for the actual scooter...

Thanks to those who helped...I know it looks gay, but its cool in its own way...and I'm not the best skateboarder in the world. Thanks again.

prominx.... you can always slip and slide down the grassy slopes of bruin walk... the sprinklers turn on at around 1am... it's pretty fun.... http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/smile.gif go bruins (even though we sucked at football this year)
05-12-2000, 06:12 PM
hmm...that is a decent idea tupacboy, i could use my old board (an airwalk A1 163) so that I don't screw up my new board (an Airwalk A1 163 (i got the second one free after giving the first one a small crack)). Gotta love strong customer service places like Airwalk. The lady I dealt with during the return was really nice. I might have to try that out...

Man i swear to God, I see about 50 of those stupid scooters on Bruin Walk everyday....Dont you guys know that by traveling so fast in my peripheral vision I'm having trouble looking at the beautiful lady bruins?!?! common man its Spring, let me get the eyefull we all deserve! hahaha http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/wink.gif

gotapex is turning into a bruin meeting ground! We are overtaking the site. Interesting how many of us there are.
05-12-2000, 10:32 PM
hehe yeah, we need to mix in some usc students and see what happens

rarely do USC students need to find good deals. they bought their way into school, they're paying money so that they aren't kicked out for idiocy, and then they have to pay for their diploma, so they eventually might run short on funds, but only after "daddy" cuts their funding.
ps - besides, everyone knows that UCLA students are infinitely more intelligent than USC students. The only good trojans are condoms; the rest are just pricks.

If your still looking, theres a cycle at mobshop...i think its at $75...and i believe its free shipping
05-30-2000, 07:46 PM
i don't know if this still going on but sharper edge in the mall had on sale for $69.99
p.s. the sharper image was in no. ca
I saw the mobshop deal, but that's for a non-motorized one.
Which made me wonder. . . Why would you want one of these if you had to push them with your feet? I thought the whole joy was that it was motorized - in other words, for lazy people.

Go Fight Win! A Clap all the way! Funny I just asked someone about theirs today. I have been seeing them all over the place. I hear they go for around $99.
BTW-What's wrong with "looking gay"? My roommate came out to me last year so I am more in key with what can really hurt someone. Just to let you guys know!
Has anyone here taken Socio160?
05-31-2000, 03:41 AM
seriously tho, if someone could figure out a way to hook up a motor to the scooterz, id be game. its a pain in my ass walking up the damn hill to sproul everyday =) any deals on motors?
05-31-2000, 04:24 PM
ive never seen one of these with motors on it..maybe us uci students arent as cool as ucla..but i still hate trojans!

I am a very recent UCLA ulumni. It is great to see so many fellow Bruins here.
Just curious does GOTAPEX hand out fliers or something
05-31-2000, 06:18 PM
hey count me in if there are enough people to get the $45 deal.
05-31-2000, 11:09 PM
nice name, Kaiser; the usual suspects was a great movie.

Hey ... what's this "gay looking" stuff?
In case you didn't know it, the revival of the short hair cuts and goatees got their recent start in the gay community ...
Now, how many of you are "gay looking"?
Maybe some of you would like to be referred to as "breeder-looking"?
06-01-2000, 02:08 AM
ahaha....me no bruin....but I must support a fellow UC .....
06-02-2000, 04:45 AM
I think this board is all UCLA students... just out of curiosity, how many of you bruins are CS majors? I bet i'm one of the few who isn't...
