the title says it all. This is from the staples ad for the comming sunday. The card is by san disk, and it is $60-$20 MIR. From what i hear, the HP 215 camera will only use 48 megs of this card, so if you want a smaller card, there is a 32 megger for $40-$10 MIR, and a 32 meg Smart media card for $20 after MIR. So i guess this is good for most of you looking to spend your $40 gift check on something since it expires in 60 days. Anyone have feedback as to weather this is good?

You're better off getting your CF cards from Newegg.com. They are way cheapier there.

better yet, for those of us lucky enough to have AMEX Blue cards I just pricematched it with a $23 price listed on a search I did at pricewatch.com. I bought the 32M from Staples, get the rebate, and then get another $16 from AMEX.
AND I used a coupon because I bought this with the free Peachtree software also at Staples.

cant you just PM directly from staples?
and also, can u tell me which store you found the card for less $$? CC has it for like $60 or something, so which store did u PM to for amex?

I don't know if this coupon still works, but 90731 is for $30 off of $100. You could buy the 64 MB card AND the 32 MB card for $100, and the total cost would be $40 after rebates and coupon. Just a thought!

I suppose I could have done that. Staple has been hassling me about my orders lately so I just wanted to avoid them. The AMEX people are much more pleasant to deal with. I figured Staples would find some way to screw me out of the rebate or something.
I can no longer find that $23 price I mentioned above although I was smart enough to print out the page the other day when I found it. I'll post the web site address on Monday when I get back to work.

found that $23 price finally. I actually got using pricescan.com and not pricewatch.com as I previously mentioned. Here's the link:

Jason is right. 128 mb from Newegg is only $55 shipped, as opposed to 96 mb for $40 & many hoops to jump through.

yea, but a crapload of people got the HP 215 camera deal and need to spend their staples b&m gift check on, and since we only got around 20 megs of mem w/ the cam, this seems pretty good. also, the camera will only utilize up to 48 MB of memory per CF card, so a 128 meg is useless pretty much

I just bought a Calculator at Staples for 40 buck then went back the next day and returned it, they refunded my money onto my credit card. (If that hadn't of worked I was going to return it to walmart for cash/In-Store credit.)

It is a way to spend your 40 gift check and still get you money back - Which is what many of you are talking about, How to spend your gift check most effectivly. The best way to spend it is to get those 40 buck out of staples pocket and into you pocket.

How did you get staples to refund it to your CC? I thought you need to purchase the item with CC first inorder for them to Credit you back for the return.

The Calculator was actually like 45 buck plus tax - I paid for the extra on my credit card, andwhen I returned it they just put the whole thing on the credit card -- It was sweet!

The easiest way to get a pricematch from Staples online is to go 3/4 of the way through the ordering process and then click on the icon at the top of the page that says something to the affect of 'click here to chat with a customer service rep.'. Then just send them the web page of the place that has the lower price. Usually they will check it out right then while you hold and either approve or deny the price match. If they deny it then you can get out of placing the order easily since you don't complete the transaction.

ok, i went to the store today, and the manager said that they do not price match websites anymore. he said that was a new policy for the .com store as well, but i didnt belive that. since my gift check was only for in store use, i just stuck with the 32MB card and got a nice leather wallet/visor case. and eded up paying $65 and ill get a $10 MIR for the CF card.
