Canon S100 for $199 @ CompUSA

Over at techbargains.com they have a link to the Canon S100 for $199. They mention that these cameras might be used, returned, refurbished or whatever. However if you go to CompUSA website and look for it, it never says its used.

So if you order can I safely assume it's new and never opened?

Well, I called them and the price is part of a special 4-day sale on discontinued products. Canon has the S110 out and so this is the older model. They said that it is either new or factory re-conditioned. I really wanted one of these but they are out of stock now. There are 2 in stock at the B/M store near me but the price is $399... :(

I guess I am a little late...

If anyone sees a deal this good on the S100, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! :)

Sunnagun!!! I referred and posted the darn deal from techbargains.com and didnt get in on it!! I had it in my shopping cart and then my boss calls me. I get back and my computer froze and when I go to buy it *poof* sold out!!

I just ordered my AMEX Blue card yesterday so I can't buy it anywhere and pricematch since the temp limit is 200. WOAH IS ME!!!

the product description page says the s100 uses a Nickel Metal Hydride battery, instead of the "$400 Lithium Ion" claimed on the deals page...

is that a typo?

i clicked on the link to the compusa.com from the deals page to print it out but it says both the canon 100 and the kodak dc4800 products aren't found anymore. WHAT THE HECK??? maybe they pulled the deal already from compusa.com? was anyone lucky enough to print out that page? can i get a copy of that page? someone help! ive been eyeing the kodak dc4800 for a long time now

it should work, if you have printed copies from that date. and brought the camera on that day.

Anyone know if AMEX would still honor the PM if the ad indicate a "N/A" for availability? Do they care if the product is available? I've neve done one of these before.

cool. just verified my ax claim. check fir $250 is being mailed. got my s100 for $216.
