Sign me up boy! I think you got better odds sueing the hell out of Denny's for just being Denny's compared to winning the powerball.

Ha. This reminds me of what happened to some guys from my work when they were working a convention in New York City. They somehow got steered to a restaurant that was supposed to have great prices for steaks, etc. When they got there they found out that the primary clientele were orthodox Jews. They were seated (at an extreme end of the dining room) and immediately some people at nearby tables requested to be reseated. After about 30 minutes someone came to take their order. The story continued, but you get the drift. After a couple of hours they finished their meals and left quite satisfied (I think a dinner was about $13 -- in NYC!!!). When I heard about this, I referred to some of the Denny's news stories and jokingly suggested a lawsuit. They replied that it would be unlikely to get very far, since many of the patrons of the place were probably lawyers. :)

We all had a good laugh over this, and in NO way am I slamming anyone's ethnic or religious bent.

They will lose their suit. All Denny's has to do is say they couldn't accomodate such a large group.

i dunno - wouldn't you think that standard practice with a group of 25 would be to say: we can only do it if you sit at three different tables, is that okay? i have had that happen to me many times. from the story, it sounds as if they waited for two hours, and THEN were told to leave. if so, that could be bad.

personally...

i hope they lose....

i think that it has gotten out of hand...

the racial thing.. combined with the sueing thing....

seems like just about EVERYONE is sueing some company or person for being racist........

if they play the racial card too much.. it will lose credability... and end up doing more harm to the mass.. while benefiting the few...

and when a real good case of racism shows up... (i'm talking about something like a boss saying "I don't want to hire any friggin N****S, CH***S," or whatever racial term you want throw in there)... it won't be taken as seriosuly as it should..

and will be viewed like this case...

'oh.. not ANOTHER racial lawsuit!!'
