Why are my posts dropping?

I just noticed this today, but I had suspected I had seen it once before. I don't usually pay attention to the post numbers, but I know that last night my post number was 2280, and right now it is 2046. Is this happening to everyone else or have I been labelled as a troll?

Okay, now I know how they're handling me...every time I post it is taking 19 posts from my total. When I posted that last message, I already had 2045 posts and it should've gone to 2046, but instead it dropped to 2026! After this message, it should drop to 2007 if I'm correct...

Hmm...that time it didn't fit the pattern...odd. The number actually just went up by 1 post...now I'm just curious why the # is plummeting.

They could be dumping old threads. By doing this, your old posts could be lost and gone from your total.

It's pretty easy to prove this isn't the case, unfortunately. Just look at Chosenfool's or Hapoo's totals. They've both been around longer than I, and neither of them have lost any posts. It would be very selective if they dropped threads that contained 200+ of my posts without any from either of these heavy posters.

It is beginning to look like I am going to have to have a little conversation with GAM...wouldn't you agree? It's not my fault that everyone else on the board goes to sleep by 1:45 while I stay up until usually 4 or 5 (PST). Don't punish me just because I don't sleep.

ps - We get in trouble for challenging your judgement...but here I am. This is a direct challenge as to the reasons behind my post drops. It's not a huge issue, but I believe it was uncalled for. 300 posts is a huge dock for one evening of boredom. Unfortunately, I don't believe this is an issue that needs to be brought into the public eye...so I will be e-mailing you once I get off of work...

Hmm...so LPM was telling the truth when he said he didn't want my man-whoring. Hmm...sorry about that little confusion and the trauma that night may have caused you.

Really though...I was snappy and bitchy when I posted this earlier. I'm going to e-mail GAM now to ask why, but I'm not going to be the dick that I was in my earlier post. There is probably a good explanation for why my numbers dropped...but I just can't imagine it.

It really is intriguing why your post count dropped down so much. I mean, not that the number of posts we have is of any concern of mine. I could care less if I had 30 or 3000, just as long as I can still express my thoughts and opinions here, I am happy. (I should really watch what I say though. GAM might take that as a special request to drop me down to 30 - although it might be fun to be an Ensign again... for about 2 minutes)

I actually noticed this as well, i mean i don't have that many posts but i noticed that they have been dropping, and then it was fine and then they droped again... and it was fine for a while now i haven't been looking at my numbers but i knew that trouble was a-foot
