I'm no mysterX or passwird, so I'm not sure if this is really a good deal or not, but the brick and mortar officemaxs are selling off a blue, strange-looking "scooter" chair (item number 20046380 on their site) for $65, while it's priced at $99.blah on their website. (Oddly enough, the black version is also $99 online, but $130 in the store, go figure). The chair is pretty comfortable (I wound up getting one.) and it looks like you can upgrade the bearing in the wheels easily with inline skate bearings ..... zoooom. :)

There is a $30 instant rebate on either the black or blue versions at officemax.com. That brings the total to $69.98 for the black, which is probably worth the extra $5.

"Price shown reflects $30 rebate." (The price in question being $99.98)

True, there're some coupon sequences that could get in cheaper than the B&M, but for me I'd rather have it now. (A wee bit of an instant gratification problem perhaps... :P)

What was the original chair that had that lattice back look? I remember they were like $2k. Are they still around?

psaux, did u get the chair for 65? cuz i think that's a really good price... esp w/the wheel upgrade option... ;) also, on the website, the prices already seem to include the rebates. so if it's 65 at the B&M officemaxes...

So anyone know where I can get one of those? My chair is falling apart and I have always wanted to get one of those.

Its the Aeron by Herman Miller. $699
I've heard its the chair from the movie Hackers yet I've never seen it. Supposevly the best computing chair ever made.

Sure, the Aeron chair is supposed to be the best chair ever made. But this officemax deal isn't an Aeron chair...
Those go for tons more than 99.

dag16,
He asked a question and I gave him the answer, and the price already. So what were you saying anyway?

Sorry, missed qgyu's post.
Thought you were saying that this was the Aeron chair and I was trying to correct that misconception...
