this is a little off topic (that pun wasnt intended) but in church n stuff you always hear him being called Jesus, but whats his last name?

I believe that in those days, ppl didnt necessarily have "last names".

Instead they were referred to by the place of birth... Jesus of Nazaruth, So and so the Hishtite, or so and so of galilee.... etc.

Christ is simply another name for Jesus. In hebrew the names have meanings. Each name is a type of exaltation if you study it in hebrew.

nano is right as far as i know, when they had their census, all the people under Roman rule had to return to their place of birth to register, so where you were from was a big deal.
