Plus $49.99 speakers to get the rebate = $120. I guess a deal if you happen to need the drive, speakers and TV.

OR 256 megs of ram.... gee.. what does that put you back these days.. 30 bux??? I'd say the RAM deal is better because if you play games.. Headphones with A3D is much better than normal speakers anyways.

Aww crap.. that's what I got for not reading ALL of the fine print! Sorry guys. I guess that's what happens when I go buying stuff online at 3:11 AM.

Ok, so I was kind of asleep when I posted the deal, but it may work out afterall... I just printed out the rebate form and it says to submit:
1. the completed WD rebate request form
2. the original WD capacity label from your Western Digital retail packaged hard drive box and a COPY of the UPC code from the speaker or memory package as proof of purchase.
3. a COPY of your purchase receipt reflecting the date of your purchase. (Please retain original receipt for your records.)
So... it would be possible to purchase the speakers, copy the UPC, and return them with the original receipt. It never says you can't return the speakers after you copy the UPC, and you're supposed to submit a copy of the receipt.

Hmm.. there was a $30 off coupon on the Monday deals posting. For some reason it hasn't moved into the archive. I got my order yesterday and the receipt reflected the correct $30 off.

There was never a link. But hmm.. now I can't find the 40G HD on the site, but the rebate is good for the 30G or 40G.
