So, I've ordered all my computer parts: 3 vendors, 1 via Fedex, 2 via UPS

I'm in Baltimore, and 1 UPS package is from FL, and the other is from Cal. So, obviously, I get the FL package first (one day difference)
I'm not home, so I get one of those info-notice things- one of them notices saying I missed my package, and they'll try again tomorrow. So, since I'm at work all day, I call it in saying I'll pick it up from the UPS center (I hate that...:( but what can I do?) So, I have to wait an extra day cause they're slow like that...

this is what I get on my ups tracking page:
6:57 P.M. BALTIMORE-HARBOR, MD, US A DELIVERY CHANGE REQUEST WAS CREATED;RECEIVER WILL PICKUP AT UPS
6:38 P.M. BALTIMORE HUB, MD, US DESTINATION SCAN
12:37 P.M. BALTIMORE-HARBOR, MD, US RECEIVER NOT IN ON 1ST DELIVERY ATTEMPT

it so happens that the other package is at the same place at the same time..(but there hasn't been a attempt to deliver it yet).
I asked them about that when I called to get my package held, but they said I couldn't do anything about it, until I get my notice (that's so stupid)

but, lo and behold:
12:58 P.M. BALTIMORE-HARBOR, MD, US RECEIVER REQUEST PACKAGE HELD FOR PICKUP
12:23 A.M. BALTIMORE HUB, MD, US DESTINATION SCAN

They, held the other package too!!!
I stroll in there, expecting to get both packages, but then, they say that they don't see the other package, they need the notice ot find it etc...and they just brush me off..

I call the UPS, and they're like try again tommorrow...grrrrr
I hate UPS

I used to work for UPS. They keep the packages on the trucks unless customers call to have them pulled. So, if the truck isn't there to pull it, they can't get it off the truck until the next morning (yes they do it the following morning before the drivers leaves that day). As for the other package, yes they could have IF you had a tracking number with you and your address. Looks like you might have run into a bum at the hub.

I hate waiting for UPS. They never know when the packages will be delivered and I end up having to stay at home all afternoon waiting for the UPS man. What a waste of an afternoon! They make me sign for the package and I'd be just as happy if they left it on the doorstep.

well, crabbie...I told them I had my tracking number and I know my address, so i guess the guy I called was lazy >(
I did go today, and after a while of looking, they found my junx....:)

and integra...if you're fine with them leaving it on the doorstep, you should tell the ups guy...
That's what my ups guy did last year, when I was living at a safer neighborhood....and we never had any problems...:)
