SOME STARTLING STATISTICS

This is a repost of a previous troll.
However, I used to work for Reed Medical Center/County USC Hospital in South Central LA and the emergency room docs and surgeons always had job security thanks to gunshot wounds.

sorry, didn't realize it was a repost...
and not really commenting on it, or having a real opinion about it...just saw it...and thought it might stir up some conversation :)
How many deaths a year are caused by Docs that knowingly kill a patient? And how many deaths are from gun owners that kill on purpose?
Surgery isn't as on/off as a gun. There is a whole lot more room for human error in medicine.

the biggest flaw is that it does not take into account the average "number of encounters" per "dangerous entity." what i mean is this: a doctor sees thousands of patients per year; each of these encounters carries with it an opportunity for a mistake. a gun sitting in someone's sock drawer in case of an intruder, or a deer-huntin rifle, will have only a couple of dozen opportunities per year to kill someone.
big difference.

And how many intentional deaths are caused by guns? How many people are killed by guns total I mean. That would raise the ratio significantly.

this is just about accidental deaths, tho, and i'm saying that, even at that, guns are more dangerous.
