what type of music do you liten to? ME? I used to be into more of a hip hopish rap sorta thing but have been getting more and more into alternative rock sort of stuff like disturbed, slipknot, mudvayne stuff like that although my mom is really pissed at me for listening to it cause some of it is some sadistic **** my fav song is down with the sickness.:D

I literally listen to everything. But listen to it LOUD!! I love all types of music. The only kind I can't seem to listen to for very long is country. I have been listening to a lot of alternative and hard rock and punk lately.

but to single out a few, i'm still hardcore rap and r&b

but lately i'm into the whole dance/trance/electronica area...basically all that club ***** (hey, i've been clubbing a lot more lately).

oh yea, and that poppy stuff, i dig the girls, so i'm down

well, as i have always said...you can tell what people really listen to by their collection.

my collection consists of jazz (standards), classical, blues, rock, ragtime, reggae, ska, latin, grunge, alternative, punk, metal, merengue, tribal rhythms, zydeco, rockabilly, new age, new wave, country, bluegrass, rap, hip hop, be bop, hard bop, fusion, acid rock, acid jazz, techno, house, funk, texas blues, southern rock, swing, big band, free jazz (not yet in collection...hard to find...but will get some)....um, i missed some, but you get the pic

This was a perfect oppertunity for a poll. Much better that the soda A vs soda B polls.

nah, you'd need over 100 boxes to check, and that's just too much work....

Everything, really, but most often rock, alternative, prog rock, jazz (bop, cool, big band), classical (post-Mozart), and lately some 70's funk stuff

I listen to only good music, much of which you'll find on ironchef's culinary academy (http://tenthirteen.dyndns.org/radio), streaming all day, every day. err, at least while i'm at work.

i listen to:

rock & alternative (except Phish, Live, DMB, Counting crows, and the like.... uh oh, here comes the flames!)
rap & hiphop (no r&b, unless there's a woman involved  )
techno
classical (except opera)
jazz (can't stand that "Please Hold on the line-closed mall-elevator-hotel lobby" smooth jazz muzak... )

eh... lets just say i like a broad range of styles. it took me awhile to type this reply out... i hate categorizing music

I like the oldies and alternative. I grew up and INXS and DEVO (my brother's doing) but for the most part I'll listen to whatever's on or whatever I can sing to.
