okay i just boughyt a new hard drive and i am transfering data from my other one to the new one
is it quicker to drag and drop in the form of a copy or a move or doesnt it make a difference
i have 35 gigs of stuff to transfer and im very impatient with stuff like that

Honestly, I don't think the transfer method you select is going to affect the speed at which the data transfers. You could also try using something like Norton Ghost to make an image of your data and then transfer that image to the new drive.
Welcome back THS
I would imagine it wouldn't matter, but if you do a copy you'll have a backup when it freezes.

Doens't really matter...though slaw's suggestion will definitely take longer.

Yes, it would probably take longer, but if you burn that image to a CD-R(W), you will always have that data on hand in case of emergency.
