View Full Version : Ever been the subject of Internet rumors?

On a certain "scandal" type site, I found some interesting posts. Some of them involved me (although they spelled my name a bit wrong). I thought it was interesting and at the same time a bit pathetic (they were rehashing obviously false, but still pretty juicy lies that seemed to make their lives a bit more exciting because they could claim to be "associated" with me)

Ever been in a similar situation?

Even been INfamous?

Is it better to have done it and got the rep or to have the rep and haven't of even done it?

Just for the record, "I did NOT have sex with THAT woman!"

I keep a low profile and always have a fallguy handy. If I am going to take a risk I set someone else up as a figurehead. That way retaliation comes back on them and not me. Then I convince others into taking my revenge for me.
When I grow up I want to be an Illuminati.

i have been the subject of a few rumors, but never on the internet. and even then, the rumors were pretty crappy and didn't last too long.

couple of years ago, the NYMets had a big feud btw Bobby V(manager) and Steve P(GM).

Well, BV was at UPenn speaking about baseball money or something, and my hs buddy went and then posted on a mets forum about how BV said al these bad stuff about SP....reality, he didn't say anything....

Well, after that, SP took a plane trip out to Pittsburgh (their next road game), and they had a talk....all b/c of a stupid post :).
