I live in a studio apartment and my main box is loud, so I shut off all my stuff at the end of the day.

Every time I open a &^*%*&^(*^% PDF file, I have to reboot soon. I don't know why it doesn't work with ME.
Also, I have to do it about every day and a half or less just because of ME

I ran across the image while browsing. I liked it so I saved it, uploaded it to my website, then added an IMG tag to my sig.

I shut my computer off everynight because it's a laptp and I don't like leaving it on all night.

laptop: less than once a day... usually i just put in hibernate (win2k)
server: almost never, unless the power goes out. my personal record is 4 months (linux)

linux: don't reboot till i add something major(compile into kernel). usually weeks or months.

win: daily (you gotta...i mean, really. who you trying to kid)

I'm running it now, and only using it cause of games....

win2k is good, lasts a few days.....however, it's been messy lately...(after installing all those spyware software sharing crap....y did i mess up my win2k install :( )

I live in California. if it ain't being used, it's off.
I usualy have to reboot when I am using it about every 20 hours of use. (if I am on for 4 hours a day, I will have to reboot every 5th day)

Our Apartment's linux server only reboots when a rolling blackout comes around..server record is 11 months.

My webserver (seperate system from the linux gateway) is usually also only restarted when blackouts come around....win2k pro record of 5 months.


My normal computer (win2k until yesterday) was restarted like once every 2-14 days.

Just installed win XP Professional today, haven't had to reboot all day!! WOw! definitely and improvement from ME.:)

my 98 box (web/ftp/irc/etc) server has been up for over 6 weeks before... it would still be up but i had to take it down to do a little hardware upgrade...

my win2kay boxes at home and work stay up for about a week or so before i voluntarily reboot... keeps them running faster.
