hahaha
Forgive me for being so behind with the news
I just watched the crap today for the first time in months and that's all they seemed to want to talk about.
Personally, I think he had her killed.

Either he was involved or he is the stupidest man alive...
wait. Maybe he can be both.

I think he had something to do with it. Maybe he hired someone to knock her off. It seems like a professional job, since she's left no trace. Also, she left her identification behind, which is something she is rumored to have done when she was going to meet Condit - so it would seem that she was on her way to meet him when she disappeared. How many other places do you go with no ID? Jogging or something maybe, but if she was the victim of a random crime then it's very likely her body would have been found by now.

Ask this Georgia lawmaker.
She claims to be psychic and talks with Chandra:

I think he's the unluckiest weasel around. But he deserves a good chunk of what he's going through.
He's obviously a sleazeball, since he was having an affair with her.
But I doubt he had anything to do with her disappearance. Having someone murdered is a little too harsh a response for just an affair, or even an affair and pregnancy, if that's what happened. His career would have been hurt, but probably not ended if she'd gone public. So why have her killed? I've heard no good reason WHY he would kill her.
She's probably the victim of some random crime, just like the thousands of other missing women across the country over the last few decades who still haven't been found.
Condit, however, could have avoided this whole mess by keeping his pants zipped. He played the field, and it came back to bite him through bad luck. No real sympathy for the guy...

i agree with jase, EXCEPT that he isn't necessarily a sleazeball. really, really stupid for lying, but extramarital affairs don't automatically make you a sleaze.... over 50% of us are going to do it someday, so i'm not about to cast stones now when i don't know what it's like to be 45 and unhappily entrenched...
and i'm really surprised that so many people think he was involved! hard telling, but my best guess is that he really dint have a good reason to kill her...

oh shoot, I thought the poll was about if he did Levy or not...not do in levy...:)
no, he didn't kill her....had sex with her...yeah...

What an interesting way of thinking. Ok, if most people do it then ok...it's not wrong as long as enough people do it
And yes the poor guy. We shouldn't judge him for being a pervert and going after someone half his age while being married. I am sorry but there is no excuse for it, and the fact that she could hurt his career at all seems reason enough to me that he would have her killed.

did i say it was okay?!?! no. i said i am reserving judgement until i have more information, unlike some people. i don't think affairs are okay. i think that i would never have one; if i wanted sex with someone other than my spouse, i would get a divorce and then move on. i also think that a lot of people tell themselves that. i think that if a majority of the population does it, SOMETHING is going on to make them do it, and i really don't know what it is, so i'm not going to go around randomly detesting people i don't even know based on some 30-second sound byte on the tv. i just don't feel the need to have a black-and-white opinion.
so she was half his age... he's not supposed to be attracted to her? just because he found her beautiful, exciting, and sexually attractive... he's a pervert?!?!? perverts have sexual attractions to little kids or feces. yes, i think that there is room for problems when people go about confusing the roles of father figure and lover, but i don't condemn all age-mismatched couples based on the possibility of a problem.
and i didn't say "the poor guy." i don't pity him. at the very least, he's acting like an idiot in the aftermath. at least read what i write before you cop an attitude.
nice to know you have such a broad world view and open mind. since you have such limited reading-comprehension skeelz, why don't you go watch your soap operas and then come back and tell me some MORE about the human condition as i should see it, because i value your opinion.

He is definitely a real dirtbag, but did he rub her out? I don't think so. As to the idea of an affair being acceptable, I disagree. This is a guy who makes the rules for the rest of us, and he can't even follow the rules of his own marriage? What a punk. If he had any backbone...well, we all know he's spineless. I just dont think he has the cobbles to off someone.:dodgy:

Gonna have to vote No on this. Cause I really don't know for sure. I really resent the fact that you did not allow for a "Don't know" option for those of us who don't submit our minds to the media for their daily washing.

I voted no only because the choices were limiting OF COURSE he screwed around with her.Thats a YES...but I also think he paid someone else a pretty penny to get rid of her..either or the guy is a huge tool and I suggest they let him visit with my headcase of a mother for a day or two..I GUARENTEE he would volunteer the info or put an ax through his head. She could be the FBI'S secret weapon with her constant brow beating.

When people say "open mind" I just want to puke. :puke:
Open mindness = excepting bad behavior, being liberal and anti-God
I am proud to say I don't have an "open mind". I don't see things in black and white...I see them as right or wrong. I don't think that is being judgemental. I call that actually having morals. Imagine that!
How the hell would you know if I have reading skills or not? I read a lot, and listen to the news, but at the same time I do not believe everything. Especially from the media. I guess I automatically don't have skills because I mention a soap opera I watch on occasion as an example of a rape case in another thread??? That doesn't even apply to this topic. Or is simply because my opinion is different than your's, and you ran out of arguments? There goes the personal attacks liberals are famous for...once again.

you tole me what i think... "if everybody does it then it's okay." you were wrong. if you had tha mad phat readin skeelz, you wouldn'a thought wrong, cuz i sure as shinola did not say that.
and you rolled your eyes at my opinion first, which was extremely derrogatory. "what an interesting way of thinking" ... extremely rude. a personal attack on my thinkin skeelz. thppffft.

For once I agree with you Fakesurfers. Spineless is a good way of putting it. It is the same point I used to try to make during all that Clinton crap...how can someone without any morals be a leader?
I don't think Condit is capable of killing anyone either. I think he had someone else do the dirty work for him.

I stated at the beginning of this thread...
I KNOW NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE I AM ASKING WHAT YOU THINK!
Sheesh I swear. Some of you people are tiresome.
This poll isn't based on fact but rather on opinion. There is no need for an "I don't know" option. If you are unsure what you think (as soooo many of you seem to be about a lot of things), don't f$%^ing vote!
Personally, I am proud to say I am grounded in my beliefs and opinions, and not easily swayed. Have a nice day all :D

I understand what you were saying. Some of us have not formed an opinion because we understand that we do not have the facts yet.
I am absolutely positive I know what I think. I know that I do not have enough information to establish an opinion. Anyone who thinks they have enough information about this situation to form an opinion is either fooling themselves or just a plain fool (investigators on the case excluded of course).
You're proud that you make judgements about people without enough information and then are too stuborn to change your mind when presented with reasonable information? I'm sorry for you. Seek help. I'm glad I don't know you.

Poor poor Condit kids:
Chad, 33, and Cadee Condit, 26, submitted a sharply worded joint resignation letter Tuesday saying the Condits "are a proud and loyal family, not only in the good times but also during the darkest hours. ... Continued employment with the governor’s office would undercut that standard."
Chad Condit worked as a Central Valley liaison for Davis and his sister was Davis’ special assistant. Davis and the Democratic congressman from California have been longtime friends and political allies.
I wonder what qualifications these two have to qualify them for 6 figure jobs. Sounds pretty cushy to me.

Same as Colin Powell's kid, and Strom Thurmond's kid, and GW Bush, for that matter. Or Al Gore.
Daddy's recognizable name is good for a high paying job, and probably a career in politics.
It's not even a partisan issue. Nepotism is what makes Washington go 'round. You don't have to work hard and earn it if you're born to the right family.

I can tell when someone does something wrong (i.e. an affair), and I think it points to him as the killer. That's not judgemental.
You are the one who needs help. And I am glad I don't know you either.
