sometimes it just jumps up out of nowhere and bites you in the patookus.

like today. by 11 am, i was so grateful to get my cup of mcdonalds coffee that i was jittering in anticipation... and i am currently not even addicted to caffeine!

this afternoon had better be more relaxing.

I wasn't familiar with the Kentucky Coffee Tree. I was going to ask you about it, but instead I let google tell me all about it. :)

re: Starbucks. At least they are consistent (strong burnt coffee).

Actually, I think all frapps are super sweet. The only one I've found half decent has been the Sugar-free Vanilla Mocha Frappuccino.
Try saying that when you're ordering, oh and don't forget the "SIZE". :heh:

When I first read this, my mind was still running in "Starbucks" mode, and I wondered if there was something about their coffee I hadn't discovered yet. :D

in a nutshell, active ingredient is cytisine, which is similar to nicotine. roast (to kill toxins that would kill you), grind and brew. makes you feel funny. they grow all over campus here. it even kinda tastes remotely like coffee.

if i remember correctly, it only grows in the southern mixed mesophytic (translation - lower midwest, you not gonna find it in california.)

Is "chambana" the combination of the two cities related to your campus, or have I mistakenly placed you in Illinois?

this afternoon had better be more relaxing. I know the feeling..believe it or not my drug of choice is HOT HOT SALSA..isnt that wierd? I have some EVERY MORNING on crusty toast and then if I don't have more by lunch time I'm ready to slay someone. Thank god for bad habits and Price Chopper-otherwise I'd be in jail for murder.

not wierd at all; it is a legitimate way of drugging yourself. "hot" substances increase your brain's production of serotonin, which is best described as a neurological happy-juice. add in the fact that the red chemical in tomato skins is really good for you, and hot salsa is about the healthiest chemical means of inducing happiness.

i used to work at mcdonalds (first job), i wouldn't drink their coffee...let alone anything else there. as for me...mocha frappuccino gets me goin in the morning, that's if i even buy coffee. usually caffiene + ME do not mix. i usually get by with some good ole sugar from my sprite

hehehe... utah = mormons = "no strong drink" as decreed by joe smith (or somebody...).

that means no alcohol and no coffee (tho they can drink mountain dew like it's their job, so it's all good...)

not saying that starbucks is illegal, just that there probly isn't a big demand for it there.

and what are you doin drinkin coffee, frog-boy? aren't you still in high school? don't you know it'll stunt your growth? stop that!!!! :D

I've spent a little time in Salt Lake City - my office out there (at the time) actually mail-ordered coffee from Santa Cruz...

and i'm suspicious... is it actually possible to drink only a lil bit of coffee?!?!? how, exactly, might one go about that? :hmm:

that's ok :D

u drink a lil coffee when ur mom is turned around see..

u say "look there!"
then when she turns around u drink some of her coffee

then u say again "Wow wut is that?"
and u take another sip
finally u say "oh my goodness a line of ants!"
this time she doesn't turn around and she catches u....

that's what happens when u have the mind of a genius :P

that reminds me of the first night i drove into the city to "cruise"

around 4:30 in the morn we stopped by a 7/11 and got huge @ss cups of coffee. i seriously put like 30 packets of sugar in that cup. i made a mess, but it was awesome!

Right now I am enjoying my morning mug (a 32 oz. thermal mug :) ) of coffee -- probably about the best you could hope to taste. Beans come from a local roaster (who will ship) -- cost me $7.50/lb., and worth far more. Brewed strong (but no bitter flavor), half-and-half but no sugar. Ahhhh.

I have an espresso machine, and there is nothing better than a steaming caramel latte on a cold winter afternoon. Hurry up snow....
