Ug. Went to turn on my PC this morning...nothing, not even a peep. After spending some time swapping out cards, RAM, CPU, came to the conclusion the mobo went south. At least I have a spare PC, and I was able to put all my junk in and have it set up in three reboots. <sigh> I guess that'll teach me to overclock...

You sure it's the mobo and not the power supply?
Definitaly check the power supply. I have have seen to many folks not check it and end up with parts they didnt need to replace.

Naw, not the PS. I checked the board on another one which I know is good and it still don't work. I have a different mobo in the same case with the same PS and it's OK. Looking at the bad mobo, the transistors (? - I think that's what they are) next to the CPU slot look a little, um, damaged. A few of their tops are expanded, probably from heat. Of course, maybe this gives me a excuse to get some more toys :)
I think you mean capacitors. Either way, that sucks! I've been lucky enough so far not to fry a mobo, just a couple cheapy video cards. (knock on wood...)
