I was pretty skeptical when I wasn't able to get through on the website and didn't get through on the phone until about 1 1/2 hours after the promotion ended, but they kept their word, I just got this e-mail... I'm getting a couple of DVDs and that Tiger Woods game for the N64, if they aren't all out of stock now!!

Hey,
Thanks for participating in Bolt's Free O'Clock Special promotion. As
you are probably aware, there was an overwhelming response to the
promotion and it's been difficult to sort through customer response. Thanks
for your patience!
You are receiving this email because you contacted our customer service
department concerning the promotion at some point between the start of
what turned out to be the "Free O'Clock Special Hour" (10:00 p.m. to
10:59 p.m.) and the time when the winning hour was posted on www.bolt.com. (http://www.bolt.com.) Your concern about not being able to submit an entry to the promotion
because of shopping connection issues was noted. As you may be aware,
the official rules of the promotion state that Bolt is not responsible
for "failure of Bolt to receive any entry or purchase information on
account of technical problems or traffic congestion ." As a result, you
are not eligible to receive a prize under the official rules of the
promotion.
However, Bolt values your business and wants you to have a good
shopping experience with us in the future. So, please accept a complimentary
$100 Bolt gift certificate. (If you previously received an email
specifying a different gift certificate amount, please disregard it.)
Here is your gift certificate code: XXXXXX-XXXX (yeah like I'd post that on the Internet!)
It expires on July 1, 2000, at midnight, so start shopping now!
Here's how it works:
When you are ready to check out, you'll be asked to enter some billing
and shipping info. Once you're done, you'll choose a payment method.
You should select "store credit or gift certificate number" if the
total cost of your purchase is under $100.
You should select "credit card + store credit/gift certificate" if the
total cost of your purchase is over $100.
Then just enter your coupon code (and, if necessary, your credit card
number) in the boxes provided.
If your purchase is less than the amount of the gift certificate, you
will have a store credit in your account. If your purchase is greater
than the amount of the gift certificate, your credit card will be charged
for the outstanding amount.
If you have questions or concerns, you can email
[email protected]
