Ok, so I read a tutorial (http://www.ecst.csuchico.edu/~atman/spam/adblock.shtml) on playing with your hosts file and proxy settings in IE to try and cut down on the amount of ads cluttering my pipes. It works fairly well.
However, I'd like to modify it so that when I click on a g|a? referral link from the deals page, the page will actually load rather than giving me a server error (which is what it oughta do by my settings). i'd like to be supporting the site and will go ahead and remove linksynergy from the hosts file if that's the only solution.
but is there a way to have it look at hosts and say that any linksynergy ads on gotapex.com will get directed to the proper place, rather than localhost (effecively killing it)?
