What could I get the 2 friends who helped with the roofing yesterday? I was thinking like a $25 gc to Chilis or some other restaurant. Is that lame? Would something 'homemade' be better? (cookies, cinnamon rolls, etc) Any ideas? TIA, Kim

What till the rains come. Make sure it was a good job first.

You can always treat them like dot com employees. Meet them at the door and walk them out along with a security guard. (if you really want to be authentic, have them searched like at some companies)

Ditto.

If it leaks, make then empty the buckets as they fill and repair the roof when rain stops.

If it does'nt leak, ummm.. Are your friends MALE? Are you good looking?

hehe j/k

Instead of just giving them the GCs, why don't you just take them to Chili's?

I'm Asian, and know lots of guys names "KIM" (not pronounce "Kim" Tho). I know Kim is not Asian because she actually offered something for their services :D

Anyway, if they are guys, I think they would prefer a case of beer right after...Chili's is fine for anyone tho...

Take them out to Chili's. You spending your time on them makes them feel that their efforts are appriciated. If you give them gift certificats then you are just paying them. Not something you do to friends.

When I moved I took my friends to Claim Jumpers. If I just bought them gift certificats they would have had a good meal. By taking them we had a good time (this menas I will be able to get help next time I move).

I see everybody agrees with me. So I guess you have no choice but to take them out to dinner Kim :D

maybe she just really wanted some rendered services, wanted to pay for it, and didn't want to deal with the emotional conflicts that a dinner might bring.

oh wait, that's america's longest profession, not 2 friends roofing.

yea, i agree, take them out to dinner, then gameworks or dave and busters....it'll be fun

I've never heard of Dave and Busters. It must be illegal in Utah.:(

You can only drink in a few restaurants here, or private clubs. And only if you order food. The bars are only allowed to serve "utah beer" (3.2 % alcohol) Oh well. Not many of our friends drink anyway. (we are the rebels of the group)

i'm not that bad of a drinker, more of a social one. i'd probably make it if i had to. i don't really enjoy the feeling of being drunk off my @ss

drink of choice, midori sours or shirnoff ice...with out that, then it'd be hard.

Taking them to dinner is a good call. If you don't want to take them to dinner...take ME to dinner!
