I'm sure this is of interest to anyone with Rhythms' DSL service, which was scheduled to be terminated today: http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/10136. Apparently, they didn't give a proper 31-day shutdown notice and cannot shut off their network until September 25th. Or they could always pull the plug like Northpoint did.

well in the chicago area, all the dsl services are goin down.

northpoint, rhythms, covad...all that is left is ameritech. owned by sbc global communications and all. it'd be nice having dsl from the people that own all the phone lines, except they give out usb modems so that you can't network more than one computer so that they can charge you for extra static ip's...they stink
