...when ordering online?
i'm thinkin at least 20% of my mail orders get fugged up in some fashion somewhere in the process.
i ordered my kid a mr. potato head and some blue's clues toys from that eckerd.com deal - and they sent me some lame-@$$ sesame street baby toys instead - packing slip was right, box was packed by some wake-n-baker. can't get any response from eckerd.com other than "i'll ask my supervisor."
i ordered the 46-cd set of lord of the rings audiobook. in book 2, instead of getting cd's 1-14, the shrink wrapped box contained 2 copies each of cd's 5-8 and none of 9-12. at least that's from amazon, tho, and they say they are fixing it with all the bells and whistles of overnight shipping and prepaid return mailer (they are good for something...)
i ordered stuff from staples. the local courier just spaces and doesn't bring it. then they can't find it. so i got it about a week late.
i just don't know which is worse, having to drag my butt to b&m's or having to waste time talking to CS drones. either way seems to waste about the same amount of my precious, precious time...

i haven't been screwed per se....i try to follow the basic rules...
order from well known sites
order sites that post addresses and #'s
order from sites that have physical stores...
if anything i've ordered something that was incorrectly described.

No real problems yet. Minor stuff here and there, nothing that took more than a few minutes to fix.
Just make sure you don't try to buy any gay pr0n from TLG and expect anything illegal. He'll bust your balls and then sick the law on you.
(this is not from personal experience, I would post the link to the thread but I am way to lazy to go looking for it)

For the record, the guy that tried to screw me (remember, I'm not the homosexual) is getting his comeuppance from Amazon. They already removed his nasty feedback.
I just sold two nice video games on Half.com (and shipped one of them FIRST CLASS instead of parcel post which they paid for) and there was no "adult" content on either (I offered them on For Sale here but no one bought)

I once bought a book from half.com that was described as "Like new." It was a book that I was really excited about, so imagine my disappointment when I received a book with worn corners and a cover that was worn completely dull from being shuffled between other books. :nono: I have decade-old books that look newer than that. Can you say "bad review?" :hehehmm:
Aside from that, everything's been peachy-keen.

The only times I ever really get screwed when ordering online is everytime I deal with Staples.com (hrmm maybe i should start a new thread on the subject)
I was only screwed once, by Softwareandstuff.com - they sent me the wrong mobo and utterly refused to correct their mistake. Other than that, I was sent the wrong item once by Borders, and they fixed that very quickly. Guess I've been lucky.

The only time I really got screwed was some site (don't remeber the name) that had 75% off (remember that deal with "special New York Pricing" from about 6-9moths ago?). They couldn't get my shopping cart right on their site and then I had to call them, no joke, over 7 times. They never got it right. I placed my order over the phone 3 times and they still mucked it up. Then they said the things I wanted were out of stock. Finally me and my roommate said screw it and canceled any orders and washed our hands clean. The thing that sucked is that they had cool Dave Matthews stuff I really wanted and they were in Marina Del Rey. It's so close to me that I could have driven to their warehouse in 10 minutes and picked up my order. They wouldn't let me do that though....
