I work at an army installation in the Washington area too. Just go home. They'll eventually send everyone back.
I'm just glad I don't work at a high profile/visibility place.

I was just about to go to the IRS and then all this happened.
My boss said 'I think it's better that you weren't there"
Like, yuh!

Still dreading to here the number of casualities...
I hope this is the end of the attacks but somehow I don't think so.

except for the stupid university of maryland. they close colleges in baltimore and out in the middle of freaking nowhere, but maryland is still open. things should be closed just out of respect, despite whether or not there is "imminent danger."

That's retarded
I heard on the radio that George Washington University's classes are cancelled but no one is allowed to leave the dorms and were told to report any "unusual activity"
How comforting for them.

Actually I don't think it's that bad of an idea. I've never heard of any university that's been a target of terrorists... when there's no head-of-state or other bigwigs there, that is.
The streets leaving DC are (were?) all clogged up, and the airports are all closed, so... Ah well, I'm still glad I'm further away from the White House / Mall area than the students at GWU are.
