Police commissioner is DENYING it.
He said that it was NOT near the bridge, but that there was van stopped that MIGHT have contained something.
Yeah, still unconfirmed...

CNN is now confirming this story, saying that there are 2 or 3 people in custody, that the van might have been intercepted either on the NJ Turnpike or on/near the GW bridge, and that it was, to quote CNN, "full of explosives."
UPDATE: Wait, now the police chief is saying that three persons are in custody, and that a van was stopped, but that there were no explosives in the van.

I hate to sound alarmist, but this smacks of a coverup. People are now somewhat letting their guard, thinking this is now over. This may be just the beginning. Let the people know.

possible, but more likely that it is indicative of some very jumpy police officers...

That is a good possibility, but I refuse to believe there is a person on this planet stupid enough (or desperate enough for a scoop) to throw around a phrase like "explosive-laden van" at a time like this without some kind of first hand evidence to back it up.

Well, there were claims of car bombs and a truck stopped in Houston that never came true...

...not really...i mean it could be some white country boy like mcveigh, who had ties in with some terroriest group in another country. just cause it's one race doesn't mean that he/she represents a nationality that is the cause of the original incident. take a moment and let due process do it's duty. this could just be a residual attack from another terrorist group trying to kick us while we're down, or it could be part of the original attack. who knows....either way, i'm not truely sure it's even confirmed...
