Normally, I have been very stridently against W, but in this case, I think he has lucked out.

Who else would you want as the Secretary of State, but Colin Powell, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs? We wouldn't want a diplomat, but rather someone ready to kick some butt.

Further, very experienced leaders like Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfield and VP Dick Cheney have been through crisis before and so they know how to act.

In some ways, this is better than Clinton's group of 30-somethings who were basically Poly Sci gurus.

True, he is a Hawk and that's who you want in office when something like this happens.
To run a war, get the right people, give them their objectives and enough support and let them loose.

What, are you kidding me? The guy was the ex-head of the CIA, and was a war hero. Yer goddamn right he knows more than his milquetoast of a son. I pray W does what he's allegedly best at: bringing in talented people and letting them run with the ball.

I always found it hilarious that people called Bush Sr. a wimp.

Yes, George Jr. might take a little heat for it, but he would be wise to call in his dad.
George Sr. took a war against a significant Middle Eastern power (Iraq for all those living in a box for the last 11 years) and turned it into a walk in the park.
Carefuly managed, this could turn into the biggest ass kicking the US has ever delivered.
