so, you know, today hasn't been the most productive day, so i went and saw American Pie 2, which was funny, but that isn't why i'm writing here today.

i've had "finding forrester" sitting on top of my dvd player for about a week (thanks to my roomate & netflix) and i really had no desire to watch it, but, i'm so glad i did!

that movie is awesome!

its got some great lines, and the whole movie i think was cool!

so watch it!

ok?

I agree Finding Forrester is a great flick.

I'm proud to say I just picked up the Kingpin special edition DVD from Wal-Mart for $10! It has deleted scenes from earlier editions(I have it on VHS too) but they aren't in the Bonus Features section. They are cut back into the movie the way they were originally supposed to be. Very nice :thumb:

I don't know about finding forrester... It was cool to see ol' Sean puffy C. again, but overall it seemed to have raised so many subplots that didn't get resolved in the end -- Such as the relationship between Jamal and the kids on the new school's basketball team, the relasionship between Jamal and the Anna Paquin, Jamal and his family... Rather than having all these vague elements still lingering at the end of the movie, I would have liked to see a deeper investigation of the relationship between Jamal and Forrester, specifically in what he learned in terms of writing and life. And the ending reminded me a bit too much of "A Scent of a Woman" but lacking the charisma of Al Pacino. I know I'm being too analytical here and sometimes you just have to enjoy the movie for what it is. BUT :P I think the movie could have concentrated on certain thematic aspects with a little more depth. just my 2 cents...

As for the KingPin DVD, is it a new version?? I know there was one version out before. If it's a new one, I'd be interested in buying it. Hey EsDee, does it have an anamorphic transfer??

Today on MAURY:
Announcer: Long lost brothers UCBSTAN and STYLEE find each other amid turmoil of worse terrorist attack in US history! The story behind this amazing reunion is amazing and will have you all in tears as it did me. Apparently UCBSTAN and STYLEE both visited the same location within hours of each other. Thanks to increased security there was photographic evidence that both twins were in the same area. Now on to the story.
