if you're talking about my chair #2, it's sideways cause my kid was playin "watch me kill myself..." anyway, you brace your knees on the low part, your butt goes on the upper part. promotes good posture and is pretty comfortable.

and if you weren't talking about that chair, just ignore me.

If you sat that way, it might! You sit on the part on the right, with your knees on the part on the left. Do a google search on "balans chair" (yes, it's spelled that way).

1) first you place a mirror directly behind the monitor
2) then you lick the bottom side of your document
3) then you place the document to your forehead "indian poker" style

...that's where he puts his papers welfare

Actually I never use that second keyboard so I can put em there, or also I have a small table that runs perpendicular from the desk, right below where you see the mouse. Oh in case you didn't notice, this isn't even a desk, it's two 6' utility tables. :D

(me being a lazyassed mofo, i'd rather have it next to my keyboard/monitor so i dont have to reach down or even stand up to access the drives....)

hehehe... yeah, it's a work in progress with some inherent design flaws... i still have some wood left over, and i'm trying to decide if i want to extend the shelf for the tower out far enough so i can position it normally, and also put the printer on that shelf, freeing up the current printer shelf for more books... it'll look funny, is the problem. as it is, i now have the tower at an angle that gives me just enough room to get cd's in n out of the drives...and the computer at #2 is not hooked up yet, i still have to drill more holes for the mess of wires. normally the computers and the tv and stereo are all hooked up like a borg collective, but the battery pack for the drill seems to have gone to poop on me, so no holes for wires and only workstation #1 is functional right now...

and yeah, it's tall... i have to stand on a chair to reach the towers, and stand on the desktop to reach the top shelves... the idea was to keep blaidd from being able to reach the sh*t, but i've already caught him with his sit n spin on my chair, teetering around laughing his ass off trying to get a blue's clues cd in the drive... so smart, and yet so dumb...

jeez, g222, i had a desk like that once... it was almost adequate for my commodore 64... :heh:

You should seriously consider cleaning up some of the tasks that are starting when you boot your system. That many items in your system tray can really degrade Windows performance.

oh yea, i dig the lil stand that the cpu is sitting on (the very right most cpu), keep it away from the carpet!!!!

i'm using an old artist table as a desk now...lotsa space...a corner desk looks very appealing though

Ya I bought it last year when I moved here. They have similar desks in several places and not all the Sam's carry the same merchandise. Originally Best Buy had a desk just like this that was black/wood but they didn't have it at the Bset Buy here in Austin so I got this one. Just look around, they're relatively cheap ~$200 I think.

You can get a better look at my background in the desktop thread. :)
My bay cooler works well though. It was the first "mod" i did for my computer. If you look, there is a fan on the side of the computer on the right. there are two fans there and blow air over my zalman flower heatsinks. They're speed adjusts acording to how hot the processors are. works much nicer and looks much nicer. :)
