Economy will go up. Think about all the insurance fraud ("hey man, I left my Rolex in my office in the WTC", "That BMW didn't have a scratch on it when it was totalled by the falling building", "Someone must have stolen all of our gold out of the vault") and how much money that will inject into the economy.

As an economist... I'm not sure how this causes an uptrend in our economy.
