I bought an Audiophase CDplayer with MP3 Decoder. It's so nice. I can stick a regular CD into it. I get tired of it, I can throw in a burned CD of my mp3's and I have hours of new music. ahhhh it's so nice. Couple that with the new Sony Street Style headphones i got... *orgasm* it's so nice.... ahhh

THere is nothing like starting your day with Prodigy, "Smack My Bitch Up" at 5:45 am... ahh woke me right up... nice! :D

i've had the rio volt...basically the rip off of the phillips expanium. it was nice except that it skipped when i walk. since i drive now, i gave it to my lil sis. let me know if the audiophase does that too, i was interested in it. oh yea, does that display id3 tags...

cause that's why i traded my philips for the rio volt. so that i knew which damn song i was listening too

It displays the title of the song, and the album and how long it goes for... I walked about mile today, and took two bus' and it didn't skip once. I got it from Best Buy B&M for like 79.99, it was totally worth it!

I've been looking to get one of those. So basically it's a portable CD Player that plays MP3s and it'll run 10 hours off a pair of batteries? That's not bad for 80 bucks. Can somebody show me a link to the product specs anywhere?

Rio's (SonicBlue) Volt mp3/cd player is basically made by Iriver (http://www.iriver.com) and all that rio does is rebadge the players and put them in a different box. Well that's not all, after extensive reading in many forums, I drew the conclusion that the iriver maintains its customer support better than rio, they are always on top of their firmware updates whereas rio isn't.

Now, I've had my eye on a RioVolt player for the past couple of months and now that prices are dropping I can barely resist clicking the order button. Until I found out why the prices are dropping. Apparently, Iriver is releasing a brand new model of their player, dubbed the iriver2. Rio will also be releasing that new model albeit some differences. Rio's volt2 will not ship with an LCD remote, that will cost you another $30+shipping to get whereas Iriver packs em in for free. The iriver comes with this spiffy lookin case, complete with cd sleeves and whatnot, last time rio gave out cases that has the cord holes on the wrong side. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to iriver players hitting the US. Mpwiz.com sells them from Korea for $225 I think, including shipping. Here are some links you can check out regarding these players.

http://www.iriver.com it's in korean but their english site will be up in a couple days.
