The RA actually came in the room?! Did they annouce that they were coming in? If they didn't, i believe that's an invasion of privacy.

I will make sure to remind people not to disturb you when there is an emergency and your life is in danger.

Listen to all the people in the WTC who didn't believe it was real (or the danger was over) and some of them went back/didn't leave and now they are dead!

i would be on the verge of violence. i remember the buttheads in my dorm always seemed to be finished with their finals on tuesday of finals week, and would amuse themselves for the next three days playing loud music. when they got yelled at to turn it down, they obliged and pulled the fire alarms.

maybe you dindt read the whole post

the fire alarm went off 4 times in a few hours the first 3 were false alarms
i went outside for the first one believe ing it was a real fire and was apprecative of all the help i got

how can you even compare the this to the WTC

that shows a complete lack of campassion to the victims
come on

as for the ra saying any thing
she knocked and yelled RA keying in
casue the ned to clear thier floor and chalk the doors

my first semester in college, and the only semester that i ever lived in a dorm, we had 89, yes, that's correct, 89 fire alarm evacuations. it was completely insane. we would have 5 or 6 in one night. & the building had about 600 residents, so it took FOREVER to get back in, because you had to swipe in, not just walk up.

and actually, once, there really was a fire, across the hall cause someone left a candle burning, and it caught the drapes on fire. but that is beside the point.

An alarm system that goes off with no fire is useless. When there is a real fire no one believes it. That system is totaly useless.

A friend of mine was sleeping while nursing a hangover and decided that he didnt want to go outside into the "cold" weather (I think it was 60 out) during a fire alarm but he knew that the RA's checked the rooms....so he climbed into his closet and just passed out for a bit. 20 minutes later he heard that the RA had finally checked his room so he crawled back into his bed.

On the other hand, at 4am after a night of heavy drinking the fire alarm went off. My room was right near one set of fire doors and so I immediately went to go out the door but when I went to reach for it, it felt hot. One of my other friends who is legally blind came out of his room and started walking towards the fire doors where the fire was burning...I had to run back and grab him just as he was about to walk into the flames... (I had already walked towards other doors at the other end of the building) To this day he still thanks me for "saving" his life.

Thus the moral of this story is that sometimes you can get away with saying just fock it but you may get fuct.
