Thought it interesting when watching ABC last night and a man was describing an attack and repeating the words that were said as they were beating him (he was White)

They deliberately edited out the "F" word but just as deliberately left in the "N" one.

This was not a "live" interview and it was clearly edited so it was not a mistake.

I have seen the same thing (with other stories) on the other networks so it seems to be a policy.

You could have edited it from the topic....so whats the difference :nono:

Blame whoever made it slander. It is like any other slander in that it is only meant to disparage, but what the hell does it mean?

Wel ******, spic, kike, wop are not considered to be swear words, therefore they won't edit it.

If they were cutting out the "N" word, the MTV would be just a big silent network with a rapers moving their lips.

i heard ****** on the tv the other day, i forgot what show it was though. but either way, it should have been edited out.

i think if you're trying to make TLG look like a hypocrite for not editing his thread title, i think that's wrong, i think TLG used that to bring the attention to it. and i think the GAM thinks this is proper cause they would have edited that out, no doubt (especially with all the testosterone and estrogen flying around)

oddly enough, you can also say "God" or "damn," but you can't say them together.

you can also say ass, but can't say *******. you can also talk about things coming out of the ass, but you can't talk about things going in. you can also say "kiss my ass." i guess because ass can be a mule.

Ummm... I don't think "derogatory terms" are commonly used on nationally broadcast news programs... Therefore I don't think this statement has merit.

yea i guess they don't really say it on the news, however there is a bunch of other stations that they use it on... when they showed full metal jacket on channel 11 (they cut all the best parts out :( ) they used all of those deragatory terms
