Wow. The new patch has been out a day already and no one has posted yet? Gameplay seems the same, though I only got a chance to play a bit since the d/l took so long. And now the game's even better since you get to hear everyone cuss each other out. heh Oh the humanity.

hmm... i hate this voice stuff... makes it too easy... but i cheat... i play music over my mic so that nobody on my team can use it that great!... heh heh the first cs dj has been born!!! hahhahahahhahahah

Yeah, I noticed people sounding like munchkins too. Seen a lot of posts on CS sites about incompatibilities w/ sounds cards. Guess the CS team will have to start working on 1.4 faster than they thought.

HAHA! The voice is GREAT it makes CS THAT much more fun. I play on a server where I know just about everyone though. I like the new patch, been playing since 5.2 I believe? I don't know maybe a little before that. It's come a long way :)

yea voice thing is cool although I don't have a mic it kinda helps when you can hear what your teamates are sayin. Did anyone notice that it's a lot easier to get headshots now or is it just me?

So far i have noticed that the voice thing DOES make you lag ...

Maybe it was just the servers i was playing on .. but they were local so ping was less than 50 ...

I turn the voice **** off as soon as i start aplying .. coz it sounds muffled anyhow .. and yes a lot of people sound like 14 year olds .. thats probably coz they are ;)

And yes it seems easier to make headshots .. dont know why .. maybe they fixed the aiming better .. coz before it was frikking hard to get a headshot evne when u tried ;)

some of the new maps are damn cool ... thats at LEASt one good thing about the upgrade ...

Its a damn right out shame that the Punkbuster people are calling it quits due to the lack of support from Valve ..

Funny thing is .. yesterday pb people announced it .. today valve announces they are picking up talks and will see what they can do to cooperate with 3rd party developers to improve the anti-cheat stuff.

I just think valve didn't wanna cooperate cuz PB wasn't doing it for free .. and now since those same people gathered up in a commercial company ... they'll have to cooperate.

So are y'all using stand-alone mics or headsets? If you're using a headset w/out both or one earphone, I'd like to know the make and model. Got a Labtec C-350 that used to work well til I blew it out from leaving the Winamp volume on max. Oh well, least the mic still kinda works.
