I have my permit now. I get to drive with my super cool parents in their 89' accord and 92' grand voyager. When I get my license, I'm gonna be doin' some serious pimpage with those rides.

Yay! Another MB owner. 2001 Mercedes C320 here! However, if you go into the automotive section, we've covered this a couple of times.

I drive a beat-up '89 Volvo station wagon. The scratches and dirt add character I think. The drivers side door handle on the outside just broke so I have to reach in through another door to open it from the outside. Nothing like breaking into your own car on a daily basis. That's character. hehe.

You do realize that as soon as you get your licence your parents are going to trade their cars in for a minivan and a Volvo station wagon (sorry Brewmaster)?

Unfortuinately there are white ones. Not that anything is wrong with withe cars, but it just seems that people with volvos only want to drive 55, or maybe 60 MPH on a day they feel exceptionaly racy, on the freeway, when everyone else is doning 75+. In traffic where it is under 65, they want to go 10 MPH slower than everyone else. Why?
I DON'T KNOW!!! I wish I did. But they do.

My daily driver is a '93 Dodge Spirit. I know, really boring but reliable. I have been working on an '83 Chevy Stepside for a long time.I shortened the bed 4", frenched in the taillights, added a rolled pan and dropped it about as low as possible. I hope to have it on the road in a month or two. I can't wait!

I can kinda understand that. Guys look fruity driving it.
I saw a bunch of guys in a blue one one time who were my age (20ish) and I was like "Sheesh." Only old men can get away with it, haha.
But I hate it when people say it looks dumb or ugly. Then I get mad  I know you didn't do that, I am just saying. A lot of guys have said that about my bug.

Heh, I just remembered one time when my Dad put his car into the shop for a week. My Dad was bald wore a suit and had a nice beard, very distinguished. They loaned him a (old style) bright yellow beetle. It was hillarious to see him sitting in it.

I think it's worse with the new beetles though

My friends parents have lime-green beetle. Once his car broke, so he took that car to work, and we came back together. It looked like this. Two guys in their 20s on NJ Turnpike driving in a lime-green beetle 80 miles/hour, listening to heavy-mettal. How about that? huh? That car is fun! I would never buy it though (only as a toy).
