I think so, especialyl with random people being pulled off planes or investigated by the FBI, I mean people with no history or reason to investigate.

I think racism is being fueled by what the government has been doing. I've already had a few incidents myself here at UCLA and it's only been a week.

ok, i got your point. it's a good point.

however, mcveigh was one of "us" bombing "us." if we turned on ourselves...that would just be silly. it wasnt racial at all. it wasnt "white" on "black" crime, or "white" on "white."

Here's a question: Lets say the terrorist attacks didn't happen in this country. They were directed at and happened in another country. In many other countries, what do you think would happen to people who belonged to the same group as the terrorists did? How many people would be killed? Hundreds, thousands, hundreds of thousands? i'm not sure how to vote. i have heard of a few incidents, nothing local, and it sounds like it is not at all as bad as i expected it would be (yet, anyway.) but, yes, racist incidents agains arab-americans have increased.

Is it wrong to discriminate against people because of ethnic background? Yes.

Would it be totaly insane to ignore the fact that all the terrorists are of middle eastern decent? Yes.

Look at it this way. If you had a description of a group of terrorists that were middle aged blond men between 180 and 220 pounds and aproximately 6' tall, would you get pissed about the FBI pulling aside all the people who fit that description to check them out??? Of course not!

That is a prety vague description. But the safety of the passengers and those that they might harm is more important that your 2 hours of waiting at the airport. With the exception of the moron pilot working at Delta who kicked the Pakastani man off the Airplane, everyone is being treated fairly. Everyone has to wait while these security precautions are being enacted.

As for the imbeciles that are harassing innocent Arab-Americans and Muslims, I can only condem their actions and hope they choose not to breed (the imbeciles, not the Arabs).

I've seen a number of stores in my area remove all of the Arabic writing from their windows and signs in the past week. One Iranian guy who owns a pizza store even started telling people he was Italian. Sigh, it's so sad to see this kind of thing happening. If you ask me, the people committing hate crimes against Arab-Americans are the same moral degenerates that have been running around burning crosses on peoples lawns and what not - they just have a new target now.
