I have some rather large techno mixes (read: >100meg) that I would like to convert to WMA. I dont want to do this if I lose much sound quality. What is your opinion?

WMA is a much better choice if you want to conserve space, here's an informative linkie I found for you:

WMA (Windows Media Audio) has much better compression than MP3s and sound quality i believe is actually a little better.

Didn't they revise the mp3 format a little while ago? From what I recall, you get about the same compression from both.
Right there's the new MP3Pro format.
