Just thought I'd alert people to be wary of a new virus making the rounds. The following information is taken from http://news.excite.com/news/zd/010924/18/vote-virus-poses:

The "Vote Virus" is spreading via e-mail to users of Microsoft's Outlook e-mail program, said Simon Perry, vice president of security solutions at Computer Associates International.

The virus appears with the subject line: "Peace between America and Islam!" and the body of the e-mail reads: "Hi. Is it a war against America or Islam!? Let's vote to live in peace!" Perry said.

When the attachment entitled "WTC.exe" is opened, the virus deletes all the files on the computer's hard drive and sends copies of the original e-mail message to every address listed in the computer's address book, he said.

What the scum that releases these things does is take advantage of a situation. You get an email from your friend encouraging to vote regarding what is the most important national issue we (in the USA) are facing today.

It all depends on who has your phone tapped and who is spying on your email. :heh:

I only open exe files that are called Elfbowling. Just can't get enough of that elfbowling. No one will make a virus called elfbowling, because the last thing you ever want to do is to tick off the ****ing elves. trust me.
