help...quest: high speed?

does anybody know how i can check to see if i have high speed in my area. i've already tried dslreports.com but i can't find service at all.

i doubt i'll get dsl, cause it seems like the closet CO is 20000 ft away, so i'm looking into cable. but dslreports isn't helpin me find cable......

Try http://www.home.com - @Home services most of the cable vendors, so you can see if you have cable service available.

Or, just call up your cable company & ask them...

I want the bastards at my college to lift the ban on how much we can download per second. all the dorms are under a 2mbps bandwidth limit. that's freaking low. considering downloading webpages goes slower than modem.
