Cochrane's "Life is a Highway" was actually early 90's, but still ROCKS!
Reading this thread makes me want to toss on some 80's music myself..... maybe some Alanis (way before her jagged little pill), Bobby Brown, or even WHAM! (I never could get "Wake Me Up, Before You Go-Go" out of my head when I wuz a kid).
...Of course, the groups you guys mentioned are pretty good too.

i don't want to sound queer or nothing but, I kinda like Depeche Mode.
I'll also have to pretty much agree with everything on zenbooty's list.
And one of my fav's came out in the late 80's. That would be Bad Religion.

What's wrong with Depeche Mode? Absolutely nothing. :)
I also liked groups such as Midnight Oil (Beds Are Burning), and Bon Jovi (of course, late 80's rock).

I watched The Wedding Singer last night. It has some classic 80's tunes in it as well. Although I am a bit burnt out on 80's music now.
