View Full Version : Just got back from my first theater meeting...

and I must say I was very disappointed. We are doing this play called "voices" which is a "powerful" play consisting of nothing but monologues of women with issues, like suicide, etc.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't like this kind of stuff. Why does a college play have to "deal with issues"? Why can't we do something fun? Sheesh.

yeah... it's okay to deal with issues, but if it's not entertaining - the primary objective, after all - it's just a pain in the ass. it's like nutritious food that tastes like crap - missing the point. you can do both. if you dint do both, then it was as poorly done as a no-plot-havin porno with ugly women.

hahahhaa a woman in the theater group suggested the Vagina Monologues hahahaha so I guess it could be worse...:heh:

I go to university of maryland at the same time too but anyway...
it's reader's theater and it's very small, but it's something to do anyway.
