(Maybe) free camera from staples? Info?

OK - my father bought a digital camera a couple weeks ago. He noticed recently that he had an email from staples promising a free duffle bag and camera with purchase of $150 or more. He printed the blurb, but didn't follow the "more info" link, and has since deleted the email (actually, that hard drive crashed). The email was dated 9/20/01, with the deal running through 10/5/01. There was also a free duffle bag with purchase of $100 or more.

Anyone know anything about this deal? He spent well over the $150 necessary to claim the free camera - is it worth it to pursue, or is the freebie a piece of crap? I 'spose we could ebay it even if it is crap... :-)

ehhhh, i wouldnt really bother with the camera....if you really want it, return the item and rebuy it if all the prices are the same..i dont think you can use a coupon and get the camera for free, so if you are going to rebuy it, then just use a coupon code for $30 off of $150 or $40 off $200 instead
