I was at Circuit City (Lancaster, PA) on Sunday, and noticed that they were selling TDK High Density (1.44 meg) formatted disks (5 colors), 50 disks to a box, for $7.99.

Stuck to each box is a mail-in rebate offer, good for $12.

Limit 3 rebates per person.

So if you happen to be near a Circuit City in the near future, consider picking up 3 boxes of these disks. It'll run you $24. The rebate will bring in $36. That's $12 profit, minus the cost of envelopes, stamps, sales tax, and a few weeks wait for the check to arrive.

Not a bad deal, considering that many of us still make occasional use of a floppy disk.

I NEVER use floppies anymore. I really dont see much use for them, especially since at home AND work i'm on a T3, its faster to send 1.44MB over the internet than put it on a floppy http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I might use like 2 floppys a month, and then I can just rewrite them. To me, its not worth putting the $24 into nothing for like 3 months. But if youre gonna get floppies, the multicolored ones ARE cool..
